entering a new year

It has been a while since my last post (Oct 4th). Before you know it, the holidays were upon us, and we celebrated with family and friends. Along with that, we had a couple of extra adventures during the holidays. At Thanksgiving, my husband and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary in Blowing Rock, NC. We endured the cold weather to watch their tree lighting ceremony and Christmas parade. It was a special time to get some needed rest. During my husband’s plant shutdown at Christmas, we took a day trip to the Biltmore in Asheville, NC. We had perfect weather to tour the house, conservatory, and gardens. Even though the garden was in its winter rest, it was relaxing to see such beautiful flowers and plants in the house and conservatory. What a great inspiration for a future painting.
